EasyHotel Budapest Oktogon

First it was planes, then cars, then cruises, so it was only a matter of time before the no-fills magnate Stelios got into the hotel-chain business. Easyhotel runs on the same principles as the rest of his empire; you pay a flat rate from 20 euro per night up to 40, depending on how early you book, for a basic, clean, double room emblazoned in Easyjet orange and furnished with micro shower room. Extras, like a remote to operate the LCD TV, Internet, room cleaning and luggage storage, are available but cost extra. Does it work? Overall yep. Staff are friendly and the place is functional and spotless even if it’s a little too much like being onboard an overnight ferry. But watch those extras – they add up! |
