Stocking more than 4,000 titles, including one of the widest selections of underground music in the city, is Wave, tucked away on a side street just off the busy Bajcsy-Zs ut. Run by the very knowledgeable and affable Sandor Papai, Wave has been stocking independent labels since 1989 including a great selection of Hungarian rock, folk and jazz. Many smaller artists come direct to Sandor to sell, so you’ll find tons of bands here you’ll unlikely to come across elsewhere alongside the usual big names. And what isn’t in-store Sandor can probably get his hands on for you anyway. Stocks info about music gigs and sells concert tickets too.
