Homeward Bound - Hungarian Folk Music Festival

Get into a Hungarian swing at this folk music festival hosted by the Palace of Arts in Budapest (known locally as Mupa). You can get merry by sampling some fruit brandy, and tasting a Hungarian speciality palinka, as well as enjoying the folk dances.

National Gallop

Giddy-up at The National Gallop, a celebration of Hungarian traditions including traditional Hungarian horse back riding, war games, parades and hussar traditions. The main attraction is the horse race in which any Hungarian over 18 can enter. The spectacular race takes place on the vast historic plaza, Hosok tere (Heroes' Square) and is free to watch.
