What was once a Ukrainian stone-carrier barge called Artemovsk 38 has, since 2003, become one of Budapest's hippest hangouts. A restaurant and terrace bar by day, A38 is a live music venue and club by night, presenting some of most-highly rated musicians in the world. Giles Petersen, Erik Truffaz and DJ Krush are amongst the many respected names who have brought a touch of jazz, blues and electronica on board, whilst A38 also hosts regular hip-hop, ragga and even classical music nights. Definitely worth investigating. Find the barge on the Buda side of Petofi Bridge. |
