You sense that the ever-so-smooth Cafe Negro would be a runaway success even if it didn't boast the best location in town, slap bang on St. Stephen's Square. A dimly lit interior and funky soundtrack set the appropriate tone for a chinwag over mojitos at night, whilst during the day the terrace fills up with cigar-chomping posers and a smattering of tourists eager for a cold drink and a great view of St. Stephen's Basilica. Word of warning: flirting with the sultry looking barstaff won't get you anywhere if you don't look like you arrived in a racing green Aston Martin. |
